BARC recruits Scientific Officers via two flagship training schemes:
OCES-2026 (Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates & Science Postgraduates)
➤ 1-year intensive training at BARC Training SchoolsDGFS-2026 (DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme)
➤ 2-year program (1 year sponsored M.Tech + 1 year OCES training)
After successful completion, candidates are appointed as Group-A Scientific Officers in various DAE units such as BARC, IGCAR, NPCIL, and others.
💰 Salary & Benefits
During Training:
₹ 74,000/- per month (stipend for OCES trainees & DGFS fellows)After Appointment:
Pay Level: Level-10 (7th CPC)
Basic Pay: ₹ 56,100/-
Total Monthly Emoluments: ~ ₹ 1,35,000/- (for Mumbai posting)
Plus DA, HRA, TA, medical benefits, LTC, and other allowances
